Open since Victorian times when tea trader and philanthropist Fedrick John Horniman first opened his house and extraordinary collection of objects to visitors, the Horniman now welcomes over 750,000 visitors per year. The collection has grown significantly since its Victorian beginnings and includes internationally important collections of anthropology and musical instruments, an acclaimed aquarium, natural history collection and award-winning Gardens.
